Bio
Short bio — EN
Luxine is a bilingual French DJ and producer who built his own genre: French Indie Disco (125–135 BPM), blending French melodic sensitivity, indie dance energy and disco groove. Inspired by Daft Punk, Purple Disco Machine and Notre Dame, he weaves French vocals into the mix alongside English tracks — fast transitions, bold mashups, and sets that build progressively from smooth starts to groove-driven finishes. Francophones leave with unexpected pride, non-Francophones with joyful surprise.
The Story
If it makes you move, it works — whether it's in Portuguese, Korean, German, French or English. That has always been Luxine's philosophy, and it is why his sets sound like no one else's: modern, high-energy club music that blends French and English vocals until everyone in the room is on the same side of the language line.
From 2021 to 2022 he played bars, clubs and festivals across France as Light X Knight — always in English, because that's what existed. In 2023 he moved to Canada for new experiences and a fresh perspective.
“Why is there almost no club music in French?”
In January 2025 he was booked for a 30-minute set, all French tracks, club style. He struggled — not because the music couldn't exist, but because it simply didn't exist yet. That's when Luxine was born: a new project, a new sound, and a genre of his own.
A few months later, at Plaza Franco in Victoria, BC, he played to a mostly English-speaking crowd. After the set, several people came up and said the same thing: “I didn't understand a word… but that was fire.” Language isn't a barrier — it's a texture.
He returned to Plaza Franco in July 2026, and shortly after played the FIFA Fan Festival in Vancouver — a milestone that confirmed the momentum behind the project. His mission: prove that French belongs on international dancefloors alongside English, and inspire producers everywhere to bring their own language to the club.
